Margaret Finlay Letter
Dear Members,
You will be aware that Jonathan and a few committee members recently resigned.
We thank them for the time and input they have given. Jonathan will perhaps be best remembered for the two virtual cairn services he and Scott organised.
The remaining committee members are our Chief, Philip Compton Farquharson who also has roles as archivist and secretary, Margaret Finlay who is vice president and membership secretary, Ed Farquharson is treasurer and as he is familiar with the IT system, has added that to his role.
Horst Kraus is editor, Alan Caig general assistant, and Jim Payne from Arizona is our overseas representative.
Although we have roles, we are nevertheless flexible and work as a cohesive team.
We recently had a brisk, one and a half hour meeting and organised the gathering. We are so grateful for the many offers of help and support we have received and in particular to Gillian McKeracher for offering to take on the Games Day catering and to Ed for agreeing to be barman and organise the beverages.
They have both visited our dear friends Alistair and Joan, to,gather relevant information.
We are trying to organise low key suppers for the Meet and Greet and for after games day when many restaurants will not be catering.
Please would you indicate if you might be interested in one or both these suppers to give us a rough estimate of numbers?
It will be wonderful to meet up again after missing two years and let's hope for some sunny days.
